AI Uplift for Accounting Firms

Compliance work is priced by the job and the deadlines do not move. This program builds the capability to get that work out faster without losing the ability to show how it was done. The five stages are the same for every client. The training that comes out of them is written for your practice alone.

About Konvey

Who we are

Konvey is a specialist practice working with accounting firms on the human side of technology. Our concern is not which tools the firm holds but how they are used across your service lines, who is accountable for that, and whether you could evidence it if the question were ever put to you.

Every person on your engagement is Australian and works here. That matters for the questions this work raises: where client records travel, what your obligations as registered agents permit, and how the profession’s own standards apply to work a machine helped produce.

We are not a software vendor. We do not touch your ledgers, your practice system or your tax software, and we work alongside whoever supports them. What we bring is senior attention to the part that sits with nobody: your people, their judgement, and the habits they have already formed.

What makes this different

Built for your service lines, not for the profession

There is no standard curriculum behind this program. A firm weighted towards business services and one weighted towards audit come out of the investigation with different findings, so they get different training.

The five stages

Five stages, and only one to decide

Each stage produces a document, and each document earns the next one. Nothing is recommended until there is evidence behind it.

Stage one

Firm fit

Before anything else we establish whether we are the right practice for your firm, and whether the work is right for us. We look at how the firm divides across its service lines, how thin the layer above your graduates really is, and what the partners want from AI over the coming year.

The conversation runs in both directions. If we are not the right practice for the work we will say so, and we will tell you what we would do in your position.

Stage twoThe first commitment

The investigation

This is the whole of the decision in front of you. We examine five elements of the firm, and everything proposed afterwards is drawn from what they show rather than from what is generally true of the profession.

Understand the firm

How the practice divides across business services, tax, audit and advisory. How teams run from partner down to graduate, where work is reviewed, and which jobs come back around every quarter.

Measured from the start

Your AI Confidence Index

The survey produces a single baseline figure for the firm, covering how capable and how confident your people feel using AI in their own work. We run it again after training, so the change is a measurement rather than a claim made at the end of an invoice.

STAGE TWOBaseline takenSTAGE FIVERe-measuredthe program runs

Tell us if you would like a proposal for the investigation. It sets out the scope, the timing and the fee, and asking for it commits you to nothing.

Stage three

Your report and the way forward

We produce a written report setting out where the firm stands across the five areas that decide what AI is actually worth to a practice like yours.

One

Productivity

Two

Capability

Three

Leadership

Four

Confidence

Five

Compliance

Within it we identify where uplift would make the greatest difference. In most firms that is the work which repeats: the jobs that arrive in the same shape every quarter and are prepared by the people with the least experience.

We then propose a way forward: training written from those findings, delivered to groups of 10 over a single day.

The report is yours

Whether you proceed to training is entirely your decision. No obligation attaches to it, and the report stays useful to the firm either way.

Stage four

The training

If you proceed, delivery is ours. We organise the cohorts, the materials and the facilitation, and we schedule around your calendar rather than ours. No firm should be sitting in a workshop in the weeks before a lodgement deadline, and we will not ask you to.

The content is drawn from your engagement types, your systems and the way your firm words things, which is why it cannot be lifted from another practice.

At the close we provide a report to the partners covering what was delivered, how each group responded, and where the firm stands at the end of it.

Stage five

Three months on

Three months after training we run the staff survey again and set the result against the baseline. The partners see the change as a figure rather than an impression, and it is early enough to act on if a particular team has not moved.

Your people also keep access to the Konvey premium suite: our online training library, prompt collections and templates, maintained as the tools change.

Who you'll meet

Your core team

You will work with the same three people throughout, from the first conversation to the three month review.

Julia

Julia

Lead investigator

Julia leads the investigation and writes the report your partners read. Her background is in research, data analysis and business strategy.

Vince

Vince

Facilitator

Vince designs the workshop program and manages its delivery. His background is in systems and integration, and his focus is where AI fits inside a process that already works.

Markus

Markus

Technical advisor

Markus advises on infrastructure and architecture. He establishes what your systems and your providers permit before any training is designed.

The next step

Ask us for the proposal

Tell us and we will put it in writing. If you would rather talk it through before anything is committed to paper, that is just as easily arranged.
